What Is Actually on the Rack

A fitting is only as broad as the parts available to test. Ours covers every mainstream head family and the shaft profiles that matter, held without any exclusive agreement or volume commitment to a single manufacturer.

The Position We Take

Why We Do Not Publish a Logo Wall

Most fitting studios open this page with a grid of manufacturer marks. We have deliberately not done that, for two reasons.

The first is practical. Head lines change on a twelve to eighteen month cycle, and a logo grid tells you nothing about whether the specific model that suits you is in the building this week. The second is about honesty. A logo wall implies partnership, and partnership implies incentive. We hold no exclusive distribution agreement, sit in no volume rebate scheme, and pay no member of staff a brand-linked bonus.

What follows instead is a description of the range by category, which is the thing that actually determines whether we can fit you properly. If you want to know whether a particular model is on the rack today, ring the bench and ask — the answer takes thirty seconds.

Heads

Head Families We Keep in Test Form

Grouped by what they do rather than by who makes them, because that is how the fitting decision is actually framed in the bay.

High Stability Drivers

Larger footprint, rearward weighting, higher moment of inertia. The right answer when the strike map is wide horizontally, which is most amateur bags.

Low Spin Drivers

Forward centre of gravity, tighter face curvature. Useful for players delivering high dynamic loft or steep attack, and actively harmful for players who do not.

Adjustable Hosel Platforms

Loft and lie sleeves that let us test a genuine range rather than fixed increments, then lock the final setting.

Cavity and Hollow Body Irons

Perimeter weighted and hollow constructions, including progressive sets where the long irons are built differently from the scoring clubs.

Players Irons and Blades

Thin top line, minimal offset, narrow sole. Fitted only when the strike map earns them, regardless of what the player wants to be seen carrying.

Wedge Grind Range

Low, mid and high bounce in several sole shapes, including heel and trailing edge relief for players who open the face.

Putters

The Rack Behind the Roll Lane

Organised by hosel style and balance rather than by shape, because those are the two properties that change how the face behaves during the stroke.

Full Toe Hang

Face rotates most freely. Suits a measurably arcing stroke with substantial rotation through the ball.

Half Toe Hang

The middle setting, and the one that fits the widest band of players once the arc is actually measured.

Face Balanced

Minimal rotation. Correct for genuinely straight strokes and frequently mis-prescribed to everyone else.

Counterbalanced

Mass moved toward the grip end. Changes how the head feels through the stroke without altering face rotation itself.

Shafts

How the Shaft Rack Is Organised

By measured behaviour, not by flex letter. Two shafts stamped stiff can differ by forty grams and two full flex-equivalents of tip stiffness.

Weight Bands

Wood shafts from 45 to 85 grams in five-gram increments; iron shafts from 55 to 130. Weight is normally the first variable we settle, not the last.

Bend Profile

Low, mid and high bend location within each weight band, so a change in launch behaviour can be tested without also changing weight.

Tip Stiffness

Soft, standard and reinforced tip sections. This is often the variable that fixes a dispersion pattern nothing else has moved.

Torque Range

From roughly 2.0 to 5.5 degrees. Lower is not automatically better; it is a feel and timing variable as much as a control one.

Special Order

When It Is Not on the Rack

Test inventory cannot cover everything, and it would be dishonest to pretend otherwise. If the session points toward a component we do not hold, we order it in and you come back for a confirmation block before the build is committed. That second visit is free.

Special-order shafts and heads typically take one to three weeks depending on the supplier. We give you a date when you order and we call if it changes, rather than letting you find out by waiting.

Your Own Components

Bringing Parts You Already Have

Plenty of people arrive with a shaft pulled from an old club or a head bought secondhand. We are happy to build with it, and we will measure it first so you know what you actually have — pulled shafts are frequently trimmed to a length that changes their behaviour.

Labour is charged at the workshop rate on the pricing page. If the measurement shows the part will not work for you, we will say so before any epoxy is mixed.
