Book the Session, Not the Sales Pitch

Each of these is scoped to a specific job with a specific set of measurements. Pick by the problem you want solved rather than by the club you were thinking of buying.

Choosing

Start With the Symptom

Most people book by club category because that is how equipment is sold. It is not the most useful way to choose. A player who loses shots right off the tee under pressure and a player whose drives are twelve yards short of where they used to be need different sessions, even though both would tick the driver box.

If you tell us the symptom when you book, we will scope the session to it — and occasionally we will tell you the club you were worried about is not the one costing you shots.

Ninety Minutes on One Category

Driver

Strike height on the face is usually the headline finding. From there: attack angle, face-to-path, tee height, head design, loft setting and shaft.

Full description

Fairway Wood

Contact from a tight lie decides the session. Sole width, leading-edge height, head depth and shaft profile all get tested against turf, not just off a mat.

Full description

Hybrid

Where long irons stop paying their way. We use your measured descent angles to find the crossover point rather than assuming it.

Full description

Wedge

Bounce and grind matched to how you take turf, tested off the mat, off a dormant lie and in the practice sand we keep on site.

Iron Set

Two hours because the set is fitted as a set: lie board across four reference irons, then length, swingweight progression and gapping.

Full description

Putter Lab

Two hours in the roll lane. Face angle at separation, skid distance, stroke arc width, then toe hang, lie, loft and length chosen from the reading.

When One Club Is Not the Question

Full Bag Review — 3.5 Hours

Driver through wedge plus the putter, with a distance gapping map across the whole set. The output is a priority order: what to change first, what to change eventually, and what to leave alone. Most people are surprised by how much of the bag falls into the last category.

Splittable across two visits if a long afternoon is not practical. Common in the off-season, when there is time to do the resulting build work properly before spring.

  • Every club measured for length, lie, loft and swingweight
  • Carry gapping mapped from measured blocks, not catalogue numbers
  • Keep, adjust or replace call written for each club
  • Full report with the raw block data attached

Junior and Growth Review — 60 Minutes

Junior players need a different approach because the target keeps moving. We fit to current height and posture, then schedule a review against expected growth so clubs get adjusted rather than replaced wherever the head and shaft allow it.

Half rate for under-sixteens, and the annual growth review is free for as long as they keep coming back to us.

  • Length, lie and grip size to current measurements
  • Shaft weight chosen for developing, not adult, speed
  • Written growth plan with review timing
  • Adjust-first policy before recommending replacement

Bench Work On Its Own

You do not need a fitting appointment to use the workshop. Plenty of the work that goes through this building is straightforward maintenance: grips that have hardened, lies that have drifted a degree over a season of range mats, a set that needs shortening after a length change elsewhere.

Drop clubs in during bench hours or leave them with us and collect later in the week. Turnaround is normally two to four working days. If we spot something during the job that looks wrong for you, we will mention it — without turning it into a sales conversation.
